AT&T made a bunch of money today

California goes hands free July 1st and Bluetooth devices were flying off the shelf like mad. How many others had to buy or will have to buy before July 1st?

You're old, who would want to talk to you while you're driving? you probably still have a rotary phone at home too?

If you're constantly on the go at work and have to take phone calls this is not plausible.

Look, it also depends on what you do. I have to take calls when I'm driving at work, maybe you don't? that's cool. but a lot of people have to take calls while they're driving.

The problem is that we've created this society where everyone has to be accessible all the time.

It has absolutely gotten out of hand.

How is it that people got along without this technology for 1000's of years, but now, we have to be able to talk on our phones at all times to do our jobs.

It's not your fault, but I refuse to be that guy that has to be accessible.

If the office or my boss needs to talk to me, they can wait until I am parked somewhere, and I'm not going to pull over to the side of the road.

I'm going to wait until I get to where I'm going.

I agree with you, but unfortunately the customers (mine in particular) don't give a shit what me and you think. and what's easier for the customer always makes the customer happy. it sucks, but if you're in a competitive profession the facts are that if you don't do it somebody else will.

That is my solution most of the time but my kids (adults now) talk while driving all the time so these made good gifts.
