I'm fine with Nagy coming back as QB coach and trust Reid and the Chiefs front office but am pumping the brakes on him being Reid's successor.

The Bears are a loser shop, but dude firmly contributed to his own firing as HC. Let's give him a couple seasons to demonstrate he's ready for the big chair again.

Nagy did well enough as a QB coach to get promoted to OC. He did well enough as OC to get promoted to HC. He’ll be fine as a QB coach again. Plus Reid’s still here, so all that matters is having someone familiar with Reid and his system.

Like this for a few reasons. Nagy is an actual former QB and seemed to be good in the QB coach role in his former stint. Second, as a former head coach, we should expect his voice to carry more weight than Kafka's did. Anything that elevates other ideas in the room, I'm a fan. Also...there is no way that Nagy is reporting to EB. With all the sideline issues, I DO wonder whether they put Nagy or EB in the booth. EB in the booth might de-dramatize things.

People talk about KC having toxic fans, but there were "Fire Nagy" chants happening at his kids high school games here in Chicago. KC should be a familiar breathe of fresh air where he can refocus on coaching within a winning org.

If successful he has 20 years of doing this ahead of him. And anybody that works w/ Reid is going to pick up on some of the administrative advantages that he has.

This. Let's not forget that mahomes was kind of a mess fundamentally and was terrific at the end of the year under Nagys watch. He also got more out of Alex Smith than any other OC and was the guy who pushed over and over again for them to attack downfield.

I don't know that Nagy can be HC or even an OC for a non Andy Reid offense. But he is a better fit for our coaching structure than we'd like to admit. Let's be real... The Chiefs will be going full steam with getting EB some new role by next year and Nagy will become our OC. I am hopeful that maybe this year with his senior role, since he will have more time, he can work on researching the hell out of college and hs offenses like chilly did. That would be awesome for the chiefs but also would be essential to his development as a coach.

Because for some reason, people fail to understand that failure at one thing doesn't mean failure at everything. Walt Disney was actually a poor artist. But he was a great storyteller.

Most coaches aren't cut out to be a head coach. Dick LeBeau wasn't. He was still a great DC.

And Nagy made the playoffs twice. He wasn't a complete dud.
