$30 parking for Chiefs Games this year...

Inside in the documents, it states $30 to park, however you can get $27 parking if you pay ahead at the box office!

However, there will always be a certain type of fan that values the "in person" game experience.
Except that attendance isn't down across the league.

2013 was the best attendance season since 2008.

Yet ya'll complain every time they raise the rate a few bucks.

Try being a Bears or Cowboys fan.
One of the smallest markets, too, and of course Jerry isn't going to pay for that stadium.

Really though, I don't think it's any sadder that people who love to see NFL games live in Chicago or Dallas are getting raped harder than those in KC or elsewhere. And personally, it's not about $30 parking or $100 tickets, it's the fact that the loss of focus on the fans and the product and it now being all about raising profits x% from eleventy billion dollars has made going to a game worth less than half of what they're charging.

And believe it or not, the small increases here and there over a few or several years actually prices out a lot of people.

It fell 4 or 5 straight years before 2013 and I think two years ago it was the lowest since 1998.

It's been between 17.1M and 17.3M since 2008. The "fall" isn't much of a fall at all. You're talking 200,000 people over 256 games.

781 people per game. And they all came back in 2013.

That's nothing.

There were several articles a year or two ago that mentioned a 4-5% decline. Yeah, if your numbers are right, 1-2% isn't much to worry about. If all the stuff that's come out about the steady decline and what not is correct, it's a pretty large chunk of change.... tens of millions in lost revenue from its peak.

5 years isn't nearly enough time to know the truth, so it doesn't really matter anyway... too many variables to say anything for sure, and the NFL wouldn't feel it anyway, especially when they can simply jack up prices some more.
