I'd say so but was there any doubt John Currie was going to **** up the hire? The only candidate I ever saw that fan base mention was Gruden which we all knew wasn't going to happen. Who was a realistic good option there?

Mullen to Florida concerns me due to his previous experience coaching in Florida and having some success at Miss St.

He'll have a lot more to work with in Gainesville.

Yeah. While I hesitate about the team keeping forward going into 2018, a lot of firings going on this year. This was not a good year to shop.

Yeah. Fans are rightfully ****ing pissed and I do not blame them.

Nobody wants him but Currie and he's going rogue to do it. I'd hire Petrino over him 10 out of 10 times.

It's a joke that Petrino still has a job. No program should touch him with a ten foot pole.

Mike Leach would have been a much, much, much better hire than Schiano. Though I don't know if wants to leave Wazzu. He got ****ed over at Tech.

Petrino wins wherever he goes and is just a douche gypsy.

Mike Leach would be a terrible fit in Knoxville. He would be more ideal in a place like Arky.

Petrino is a poop tomato who should not have been hired as a head coach after Arkansas.

Why do you think Leach wouldn't be a good fit in Knoxville? He doesn't have to deal with Saban, LSU, GusBus. Has some experience recruiting that area (he was the OC at Kentucky for 2 years in the late 90's).

Petrino made Arkansas competitive. That's a stupid take.

He's an amazing coach, just a turd person.

Leach is best in a spot where he isn't in the limelight and he'd be in the background more at an Arkansas than Tennessee. Lower expectations because he will be a mostly 7 win'ish guy that will occasionally spike to 10-11 wins if everything literally goes perfect.

Takes a bunch of miscast jags that fit in his specific scheme. Tennessee can recruit, so they need to aim higher. Arky is a 3 star type of bar level, so Leach is more what they need.

I understand he wins. But he left Louisville at the alter once already, ditched the Falcons before the season ended, went to Arkansas, had an affair with someone who was on staff, lied about it, and was fired. He shouldn't really have the opportunity to be coaching at a Power 5 program.

Yeah I think it's a fair argument that he doesn't deserve a job, but he can win wherever he goes and teams will continue to hire him.

Burning out of Tennessee after a few years with a better team ahape would be ideal.

The issue with Leach and Tennessee is he would never ever be a fit there.
