Bradford was next-to-last in the league in YPA despite completing over 60% of his passes. He was last in the league, by far, in YPC.

McDaniels better be intelligent enough to extend the offense, but not try and have Bradford constantly press the ball down the field vertically, because he doesn't have a big time arm, and that line isn't especially adept at protecting the passer.

Am I wrong in thinking that the Erhadt-Perkins Offense is a variation of the WCO? If it is, it shouldn't be too hard for Bradford to pick up the terminology.

The WR corps should be nowhere as shitty as it was this season next season. Assuming Avery and Clayton come back, as well as the Rams potentially signing a FA WR or drafting one, the Rams will have some depth.

If true I think it's a good pickup for the rams.

I wouldn't have minded him coming to KC. Although I never considered it a real possibility since handshakegate.

Basically every offense is either a version of Paul Brown's WCO or Air Coryell, which even themselves have some similiarities.

Erhardt-Perkins isn't a monolith, though. Look at the differences in the way the Pats offense ran with Weis vs. McDaniels.

A traditional E-P is the run to set up the pass and relying on PA to stretch the field. Basically exactly what the Chiefs did this year. In fact, we moved the ball from 20-20 with the running game and let Cassel vulture scores in the RZ, which is why his TD-Int ratio was so inflated and his yardage numbers were so low.

Meanwhile, McDaniels' version of it has a lot more vertical routes and almost no (much to his detriment) reliance on the running game.

Avery as a speed guy, Amendola as a slot guy, Danario as a possession/RZ guy. Those are nice role playing WRs, but you'll still need a #1 somewhere. In fact, a top level TE might be enough to round that all out. Gibson and Gilyard are intriguing players too.
