How many days are you working Christmas week?
With Christmas right in the middle of the week next Wednesday, a lot of businesses will take that as a good reason to be closed on some extra days other than just Christmas or Christmas Eve.

So how many days are you working next week? Lets just call it Sunday through Saturday. Working any weekdays at all? Perhaps you are going to work the weekends to avoid working during the week? Will you have even more than those seven days off? Lets hear it!

I will be off all week. Two (of four) paid holidays that we can use anytime from November to January which I am using for the 26th and 27th and the other three we are closed. Can't wait.

5 positions moved on to either promotion/out of the gov't job, still haven't been filled.

Work increased due to shortage of positions not being filled, plus adding more additional work that is not in our scope.

Overtime taken away, which hinders the process.

I agree with your bolded assessment, because when we had OT, I used it to actually, work, to get the damn old cases out as quick as possible.
