Soler just saved the catcher's life there. I don't know if I've seen a catcher do that.

Not just the catcher but the umpire's too. That ball looked like it was going to hit right in the middle of the ump's faceguard.

Yeah I don't know what that was all about. Is there something that's hard about seeing the ball there in the daytime? It was like the catcher had no idea where the ball was.

No, I can see the fingers, based on my view from the TV, but it's not uncommon for a pitcher to miss the sign. Another must have been a communication problem. Catcher probably put down a 2, and the pitcher probably saw a 3.

Yeah, that was brutal. If Soler turns on that hanging 83 mph curve, it's 10-6. Just awful all the way around on that play.
