So the carb diet doesn't recommend buying a kit to measure the chemicals in your urine to tell exactly when you go into ketosis?

Or that it's an essential part of the diet so your body starts breaking down fats for energy instead of storing unused sugars/carbs?

First of all I've never heard of a "carb diet." What you're talking about, I assume, is a low-carb diet.

Secondly, there are probably hundreds of low-carb diets out there. Keto is one of them.

The original low carb diet was based on the premise of Ketosis.

The only difference now is that instead of being a radical idea people thought might be risky (high meat diet = cholesterol and heart disease) there's a decade of science behind it and it has a cool new name based on the same 10 year old science...

Heh I didn't know there was an actual named thing called THE Carb Diet.

I thought you were referring to A carb diet, which would mean, at least to me, a low carbohydrate diet.
