The 49ers defense is injury plagued. Last week was their first solid game. Maybe that is a trend. If not, then it is going to be tough sledding against Charles and the Chiefs ground game. They stopped LaSean McCoy, but Demarco Murray shredded them. The Defense cant stop the run like they could with Navorro Bowman, Aldon Smith, Donte Whitner, and Glenn Dorsey at nose tackle.

Chiefs need to play old school Marty-Ball here. Run the ball and control the clock.
I'm nervous about Reid reverting back to his old ways and throwing the ball 40+ times.
He's obviously adjusted his game plan since the Titans debacle. I just hope he stocks with it.

Agreed. I was amazed watching the run/pass ratio last night.

Smith lost the 49ers starting quarterback job to Colin Kaepernick in 2012 after suffering a concussion. Then Jim Harbaugh shipped him off to Kansas City, where Smith has been plotting his revenge for the past two years. It's a safe bet that Harbaugh's also been planning a revenge for Smith's revenge though, and I'm going to have to give Harbaugh the advantage here. The 49ers coach got rid of Smith for a reason and one of those reasons is because Smith was Captain Checkdown. I'm betting the 49ers devise a defensive gameplan that forces Smith to check down 47 times in this game. That will be one check down too many. 49ers 34-31 over Chiefs.
My guess is the 49ers will stack the box and try to stop the short passing game, daring Alex to beat them with intermediate passes, and living with man coverage on the receivers. The 49ers linebackers will spend all day on the Chiefs tight ends.

Their problem is, the 49ers have no pass rush without Aldon Smith, and they rarely blitz. So the game will come down to how strong or weak the Chiefs offensive line really is.

Still pissed at you suckers for the Titans game , how you let those puss's beat you on your home field I'll never know.

The 49ers game; Smith wants a little and he's playing really well, Davis may be out with a back problem, if you can choke down Gore and Hyde, and keep Krappydick in the pocket, I think you can, you should win this one to.
Double Boldin and beat Crabtree up you should win this. I've picked the Chiefs every week except week 2, guess why?

I have much respect for the team we've become. However I think we lose a close one 21-19

I hope this team plays it's heart out for Alex and beats SF. Well see. I know I was so negative after week 1 but they've earned my respect. Well see if they can keep it going

I feel like last year the undefeated start felt like kind of a fluke. Big wins against bad teams, just squeezing by decent teams.

I think the fluke this year is that Tennessee game. We played the broncos tight in Denver then had 2 dam good wins against generally healthy decent teams. Pats d was rated 5th before last night and Miami was confident before last Sunday and we shit on both of them.

My prediction is a damn good game this Sunday with two hungry teams looking to prove something.

Chiefs 31 49ers 17. Kaepernick gonna kaepernick. Its a close game until kaep throws a few picks and the chiefs capitalize on them. Think we can stop their offense for the most part.
