A kicking option?
The battle for the Buccaneers' kicking duty was supposed to be a lopsided affair that would result in veteran Matt Bryant beating out the inexperienced Todd France. However, France, who spent his spring kicking in NFL Europe, has converted 31 consecutive field goal attempts in training camp workouts. "France is on a roll right now," Buccaneers' head coach Jon Gruden told the Tampa Tribune on Tuesday. "These aren't just extra points. Some of these are bombs from 44-, 48-, 50-yard area. He's been good from all the hashes." France did not attempt a kick during his stay with the Giants last season.

I think Tynes will be our kicker this year. Vermield doesn't like to change horses.

We have our choice between a POS kicker and a POS kicker who can knock the stuffing out of a bouncer.
I'll take the latter. |
