What did you do for your 10 year HS reunion?
Somehow I got tasked with planning my ten year reunion. I'm drawing a blank on entertaining things to do for a reunion beyond go to a bar or take a tour of the high school. Any good ideas?

I had nothing to do with planning it, but they just rented out the Moose Lodge. Supplied a couple kegs of shitty beer that people could pay for. Had music. That's about it.

I had a coworker who was in charge of planning their 20 year reunion. She went as far as to contact local hotels to see if they would charge a discounted rate for those coming to town for the reunion. Several were either still here or had family to stay with in the area, but I still thought that was a good idea. Also, it probably depends on the size of your class.

In thinking about this, it just hit me that next year (2020) will make it 25 years since I graduated high school. How did I get this old? Especially since I have a kid who will be 3 in 12 days.

Had a carry in lunch at the local park so all the ones with kids could show them off. Also good for those who do not drink or party.

At night, had a buffet dinner at a restaurant and bar so everybody could get hammered, which we did.

Worked out pretty well, had a good attendance at both.

And I had a good time in HS; but not interested in seeing a bunch of people I didn't care for to begin with; only to compare the awesomeness of each other at the reunion.

BUT,
i saw pictures of a few of the reunions, and they basically went to a bar. I think they went to a place like Chicken & Pickle; drinks, food, and activities to do outdoors etc. So maybe something like that?
Chicken and Pickle is a cool place.

It'll be 40 years for me this year. We started out with a class of 52 so small functions for us. Big outdoor BBQ one year, a pot luck one year and so on. Good idea was always scheduled in afternoon so that those that wished to go out bar-hopping could do so afterwards.
