A Florida man folded his ex-girlfriend’s mother-in-law into a fold out couch in her own living room, police have claimed.

Mark Foreman, 53, was arrested on Tuesday after the incident, which left the 66-year-old woman with an injured wrist and a bad back.

The Palmetto Police Department report said Foreman, who cops said had been drinking, had gone to the mother’s house in Palmetto and asked to use the bathroom.

On returning, the woman was lying on the fold out couch in her living room when Foreman said ‘what is this?’ before pushing her into the sofa and folding it away with her inside.

The report does not say how long she was trapped inside her couch, or how she managed to get free, but paramedics were called and she was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Foreman was arrested by police and taken into custody, but his alleged actions remain unclear.

He was charged with battery, and according to the report the 53-year-old from nearby Bradenton, was ‘nervous’ and ‘dirty’.

He is being held in the county jail in lieu of a $2,500 bail.
