You won't completely get rid of it, but most of the time in the stadium it's blasted on the PA system. Get rid of that, and it would happen far less often.

If you aren’t prepared for the Chiefs not being the Chiefs, then I don’t know what to tell you.

The Chop, at the very least, won’t be encouraged by the franchise anymore. The logo will change. The stadium name will change. The team name will change.

It’s inevitable unless there is some sort of unforeseen social pressure shift, which I doubt will happen. Just expect it and enjoy the game.

The Chiefs are going all in on the name being connected to Bartles and not NA imagery. Would not be surprised to see them take steps to keep pairing down the chop, too.

Used to be pretty cool to see Bob Johnson riding Warpaint up & down the sidelines of Municipal Stadium.

I think George Halas said something about the Chiefs trying to kill him in 1967.

Most people would still call them the Chiefs. That name wouldn't go away for at least a generation after a change is officially made.

Warpaint was no more offensive than The Chop, drum deck, or the KC logo. With that said, I think they're coming for all of it. Really a shame because they just installed that drum deck. The logo has been here for 50 years.
