Unique Military Weapons

Cant recall ever seeing a thread on this topic so i thought it was time we had one... this thread is dedicated to military weaponry of any kind, from any era or nation.

There is a seemingly endless array of novel, fascinating, revolutionary or even ill-fated hardware out there so subject material shouldnt be a problem.

First entry coming up shortly...

The amazing thing about Soviet Military Equipment is that it always looks impressive yet it rarely works as advertised! Thank goodness for that.

Coyotes post mentioning the Osprey in the F-35 thread, reminded me of this revolutionary new helicopter in the works

http://www.wearethemighty.com/articl...ll-fly-in-2030

More cool stuff... meet the "Pike" a laser guided missile designed to fire from a slightly modified 203 launcher

As a (hard won) designated 203 grenadier... this gives me diamond hard wood just thinking about being able to fire one

http://www.dodbuzz.com/2016/10/17/co...ial-operators/

There is a lot of grousing in the F-35 thread about costs and "murdering brown people"... but I for one, cant wait for Trump to open the US wallet back up for our armed forces

Anyone willing to look around will see that this nation has been drastically weakened by Obamas defense cuts... if you dont want to hold the edge over everyone else, China and Russia DO, good luck with that when they isolate us from the rest of the world with superior weaponry

We aren't weakened at all.

The new F-35b was made for one reason and one reason only, keep Boeing's factories busy. The American taxpayers have to pay yearly rent to our manufacturers so they don't take their ball and go home.

Same reason we have to stay involved in wars all the time.

You don't really think we are rotating wars constantly to keep our country safe, do you?

Laz and Rob sleep safely at night, and eat well by day... thanks to our incredible expenditure of money on cutting edge technology

I have no desire to argue about it with them, sleep well... while rough and well equipped men stand by to keep them fat and happy

I don't argue with posters who don't have an aerospace or military background or knowledge of history who selectively finds finds pretty charts to match their limited knowledge.

You are wasting electronic link...and my time.

I don't argue with posters who have no clue or basis to understand the topic.

Go back to your football and girls, you may be better suited to discuss those simple topics.

What website would you like to have a link to the real budget information from then?

Anything not run by the GOP are basically the same.

The military budget under Obama is comparable to the one under Bush.

All these links provide specific numbers about the budget:

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-me...ary-spending-/

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_a...gest_ever.html

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/nicola...b_8227820.html

https://mises.org/library/no-militar...ay-under-obama

http://davidstockmanscontracorner.co...barrack-obama/

let me know if you need more ......
