Plenty of guys in the class are plenty fast enough.

The weirdest thing about the class is some of the shorter guys are better at contested catches where some of the bigger guys are more finesse types, it is weird in that regard.

There are guys that are gonna go high that are gonna throw people off too..

For example Cam Smith and DJ Turner are 100% going to be first round graded, like Turner didn't even go high in the mock on this site but I'd bet anything he goes between 24 and 40.

The deeper we get the more i can see Mims as a pick. And knowing that 98% of rookie wide outs dont produce immediately for Andy, I'd be find going with a round 2/3 guy that needs polishing but has a higher ceiling.

See I think that about WR. I’m not keen on spending a first on Addison or Johnston. They’re both too slow and Addison isn’t that big for what we look for and what we need.

They’re always drafting for YAC. Even last year Skyy had a respectable 4.41 speed with an elite 10 yard split while having huge hands and 5’10 195 with big legs.

JSN and Hyatt are the guys for me in rd 1. I also wouldn’t hate Flowers if they really thought that highly of him, but his skinny frame while playing makes me a bit nervous as well as his height. I don’t see an enormous disparity between Hyatt and Mims who will be available in rd 2. Don’t see a huge disparity between Johnston and Mingo either.

We can talk about value all we want, but a blue chipper is a blue chipper. Just last year we went into that draft thinking they might not take a Corner in the first rd bc they’ve had so much success getting them later on.
They obviously saw McDuffie as an elite prospect and chose to get him.

I think that situation arises in this draft on the DL and OT. There’s guys you move up for if they’re in range like you did McDuffie based on talent and opportunity cost.

Darnell Wright seems like that guy IMO. If he falls to 26 you call Dallas and give them a 4th and 6th to get him. Just too much value.
If Will McDonald is there, I think you have to think you get him. He’s slightly undersized but is tall enough to add weight. Jalin Hyatt is the only WR I can see them doing a small move up for.

In regards to “waiting for a DL in rd 2”. Yeah that’s possible. They’ve scouted a lot of DL. But I think we’re attacking that position with multiple draft picks. The value is so good in rd 3 and 4 this year.

Addisons film against Stanford is probably the best of any WR in the class...you should check it out.

So you’re against drafting smaller WRs but you’ll for sure draft a DE that doesn’t fit what Spags looks at on the chance that he can add weight?

We didn’t just draft one defense player with small arms. We doubled down and did it twice in the same draft when it was out of the norm. The year before that we drafted a LB with our first draft pick that wasn’t an elite athlete and wasn’t a good coverage backer.

They’ve gone outside the norm recently which is why people think Nolan Smith could be a real possibility in the off chance he somehow fell far enough for us to make a trade.

Has Andy shown this on offense with a valuable asset, aside from Orlando Brown Jr who they just sent packing? Sure seems like he hasn’t.

Go show me where there is a certain type of WR that Andy sticks to. Spags has a history when it comes to DEs. It’s happened twice here and Karlaftis met every other prerequisite that Spags likes.

Also what does that have to do with Bolton? Spags doesn’t always draft athletes at that position.

If you won't take Addison or Johnston at 31, then you're just being way too ****ing picky.

This isn't complicated.

If one of the top 4 WRs falls into our lap at 31, it's literally the perfect outcome.

Oh yea?

Also, Addison is sneaky good after the catch for a guy his size too. This makes no sense.
