Warriors are turning into a pumpkin.
Playing the Jazz in game 2.
Really they came back to earth in the fourth quarter of game 1, which they lost because all of those three-pointers they were nailing against Dallas stopped going in. Their shooting is horrible against Utah right now, even though they only down by six at the moment. But they're being outrebounded by the Jazz right now by 22-9 midway through the second quarter. They're not getting second shots and the Jazz are getting plenty. |

Warriors are also fouling the crap out of the Jazz because they keep getting the ball deep inside off those offensive rebounds.
I think just about every Warriors starter is in foul trouble. Edit: Of course, just as I say that, it's a 1 point game. |

Well they are just getting beat up by the Jazz. No contest.
They're also missing on a lot of their best looks. And now, they're down seven points going into halftime. |

I like GS but do not think they have what it would take to go further.
I like gritty teams actually. |

Well that is the Warriors this offseason, no question. 100% grit.
Speaking of which, they nailed a three pointer as the first half buzzer goes off. As bad as they got dominated, they're only down five at the half. But the first half did not look good at all. Jazz scored at will. |

Just saw a replay on that brutal neck injury to Dee Brown.
That guy's out for the rest of the year, I'm calling it. |

I brought that up, re: Pam Oliver yes indeed ee, she is hot. But concentrating on your thread, It goes back to match-up problems. No matter what/which sport discussed; there will always be match-up's that favor some, while harming the others.

I'll give this to the Warriors, they are crowding Boozer and Williams, and forcing Kirilenko to beat them with shooting. And I mean force. Every time Kirilenko touches the ball, the Warriors literally step away to make him shoot the ball. That is a heavy-handed strategy if I've ever seen one.
Kirilenko's got 15 points so far (he's only an 8 ppg scorer), but that jumpshot of his always looks awful. Let Kirilenko stack up the numbers; better him than someone with an actual stroke. The Jazz just seem to be doing their thing, with no out-of-the-ordinary strategy. They're not really doing anything special to slow down Baron Davis (who has 18 points -- not the guy you want getting hot if you're Utah), they're still doubling the low post even when the Warriors love getting that open three, and they're not really funneling their offense into Boozer, which is surprising. They're just absorbing the Warriors' offensive burst, confident that they themselves are going to score just about every time down the floor off offensive rebounds. |

Three threes in a row by Golden State. They're in bad position in this game, but they're not going away.
Five point lead, Utah. Baron Davis is driving at will against Williams. Williams has 3 fouls trying to contain him and is lucky he doesn't have more. |

Kirilenko -- two turnovers when the Warriors play off of him, forcing him to do something. He keeps trying to force passes or something because he knows he can't shoot, and the Warriors are all over his passing lanes.
It doesn't hurt that they keep hitting threes. One point lead, Utah. |

What's funny though, is that Utah is dominating the boards, yet they're just winning only by 4. It's like a game where Utah should has been up by 15+.
