Who was it on here that said the White Sox ‘owned’ us a couple weeks ago?
3 out of 4 in KC last week and 2 out of 3 now. They’ll be in the playoffs and we won’t, but still needs to be said . . . . . **** the White Sux! |

True.
But we owned them for basically a decade. https://soxmachine.com/2020/09/07/wh...s-9-out-of-10/ So they were due for at least one good season against us. Now things are starting to get back to normal. My only regret is Brad Keller didn’t get to pitch in this series and stick a ‘W’ on them. That would have made it a perfect 2 weeks against the Sux. |

Flanny said via twitter that the Royals FO has been "split" on Olivares all year. Feels obvious with how they've used him, but did they really think giving Kelvin Guiterrez a half season was more beneficial to their longterm plan than throwing the Olivares out there? I'll never understand that.

Sometimes, guys need a chance and PT to prove themselves. We’ll see how Olivares adjusts - hopefully well - now that the league has seen him a bit. He’s not just punishing fastballs, though. He has hit some good pitches out (the one off Giolito especially - that was a pretty good changeup down and away).
I was really encouraged by Lynch’s start because he started working swing and miss into his results. You could also tell that he wasn’t happy with his execution of the slider on some of the Ks - he got swings and misses even though the slider caught too much of the zone. I like to see that.
