I dunno our defense basically requires someone to be a centerfielder, Thornhill is coming back from a serious injury and they'd probably like to slowly work him back in. Mathieu prefers to not play that role and frankly Dan Sorenson isn't athletic enough to do it and Watts is eesh, it's how Kendall Fuller ended up with so many safety snaps last year in the playoffs.

There's at least 4 teams in the AFC that are better than the Colts right now, even with Rivers. People forget that regular season Rivers is pretty awful. |

Baltimore Buffalo Texans? I don’t know. Defense is still garbage and they lost their best weapon. I think the three I listed besides the chiefs are the only real contenders in the afc.

The Chiefs road to the Super Bowl was paved in part with the fate of NOT signing a locker room cancer like ET.

Kudos for DeCosta, at the urging of his players and coaching staff, for moving on from safety Earl Thomas, the seeming prize of Batimore's 2019 free-agent class, whose attitude, abrasiveness, tardiness and churlishness came to a head at a practice last week during which he threw a punch at mild-mannered and universally beloved co-starting safety Chuck Clark. Alas, this has been boiling over for quite some time, according to numerous sources with direct knowledge of the situation, with the frustration with Thomas going back to last year. Then, many around Thomas put up with him, shall we say, showing up not quite ready to practice or missing meetings or doing whatever he cared to do on game day rather than sticking to the scheme or play call. After all, this was a future Hall of Famer who has been the closest thing we've seen to Ed Reed during his storied career in Seattle. And this franchise has not shied away from taking on guys with difficult personalities. But this was different, the sources said. This was personal. There was a sense on that defense that Thomas was not part of the group and did not care to really be part of the group. He had eroded too much trust to really be accepted anymore, and his teammates saw his skills deteriorating and missteps magnifying. ---- As I said yesterday, No Thanks to ET. |

Add in the Chiefs and that's actually 5. I don't know why people are so concerned about the Colts. Maybe it's TPSD - traumatic playoffs stress disorder. |

I’m ambivalent. If he were to show up on a team friendly deal to give us some depth and “Covid protection” and let Juan ease back in then great. I don’t think he’s ever proven he can stop Mahomes so also not worrying if he shows up at a rival. |

With the Cowboys said to be out of the race!!..it could be a clear path for Veach to get in on the action. And what better motivation could Earl have than to join the Raven's biggest rival for the AFC championship and also have a chance to play them in week three at their stadium? DO IT BRETT!! |

Pretty sure KC doesn't need to add churliness to the locker room
