Beloved: Your Favorite Chiefs. Round 1, Heat 10. Defensive Backs, Part 2

Our second heat of defensive backs. I love defensive backs.

Vote for your FAVORITE three, for whatever reasons that they were your favorite. There are no wrong answers.

Dart: The other safety in that mix was Cherry. That was arguably the best defensive secondary in Chiefs history.

Another good one was Emmitt Thomas (NFLHOF), Johnny Robinson (All time AFL team, 9 time All Pro, should be in the NFLHOF) Jim Kearney (very under-rated safety, 11th round pick by Detroit in 1965, started for KC for 8 years) and Jim Marsalis (played for KC 7 years, 2 time Pro-Bowler).

That was a great secondary too.

Voted the same as the top three, pretty basic.

How did Greg Wesley manage to make the team for seven years, seemed to me to be lacking some basic coverage skills.

I can easily see why Bartee would be a favorite of yours, and maybe some minor argument could be made for Warfield. But not Burruss. He was a destroyer of Broncos.

Loved Albert Lewis till he turned on us.
Dale Carter was a great corner just if you were in Quincys after a game you might get a gun pulled on you from him.

Kearney and Burruss were the 2 best strong safeties in Chiefs history IMO.
