Sun, 22 Jan 2006 18:38:45 -0800 The Associated Press reports Denver Broncos QB Jake Plummer played in the team's AFC Championship game with a chest cold. Plummer claimed it only affected his scrambling ability and would not use it as an excuse for the team's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Plummer said, "I won't use that as an excuse. I tried to make some plays, but when they are playing deep like that, it's tough going."  |
