I pretty much agree, but it's awfully hard to not get excited. I know my imagination certainly wants to see Bobby flying around the bases and big bad Jac hitting bombs at the K. If the Royals keep winning, Jac keeps hitting, things will come out in the wash just fine. Jac will dictate when he's ready and we'll be that much better as a result.

Hopefully that will amount to some good depth if we need a spot starter or maybe he's gonna be nails out of the bullpen. A back end of the bullpen piece would be nice.

It was actually a few days ago. But yeah, solid line for his first time out. 4 IP, 1ER, 3H, 2BB, 4K. He’s scheduled to start again tonight, 05/07.

Kyle Wright got hit around a bit tonight. Made it 2 innings and gave up 4 runs. No HR for Cags tonight but Gavin Cross hit 2 of them including a game tying one in the 9th inning.

Finally got that slug above .300! He also struck out again so he has a strikeout in 25/27 games this year! He's only walked 2 times in his last 19 games! He's really fallen off a cliff.

Advice: Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Harvey’s throwing progression will be slowed down a bit before they determine his next steps. It’s not quite a full-scale shutdown, but they’re going to pump the brakes. There should be an update on his status once he throws a bullpen session in the coming days.

Honestly just let Harvey heal up and let him be a late season bonus add. Almost like a trade. The Royals can get by at the moment.
