It's odd to me that so many care so strongly about CU to bother shitting all over them. I wouldn't have thought a school that hasn't won anything in 30+ years would warrant the attention.

It's almost as if it's a response to a ridiculous unwarranted hype machine and a bunch of loud mouths.

It's one thread on ChiefsPlanet from one guy...

(Also note that we've booted plenty of people out of KU and Mizzou threads over the years for just being there to troll. I'm not entirely sure why this one is different aside from the fact that DC would get bored talking to himself.)

Are you really going to be this disingenuous?

I clearly wasn't talking about CP.

I have no idea what level of chatter there is about this outside of CP. I've watched a total of one college football game from beginning to end in the past 5 years.

All I see is a bunch of guys dogpiling a football program (and their one fan on here) that's been shitty forever. It'd be like raiding a Lions forum and bashing them. It's just a weird look.

I mean... you kind of nailed it.

This is Kansas/Missouri country and we've got some guy touting a Colorado team in its own thread. Kind of begs to be made fun of, doesn't it?

Like, I support a really shitty NBA team. You don't see me starting my own Timberwolves thread on here, do you? And if I did, wouldn't it totally be fair for people to shit on them and my thread because I put that target out there for them to shoot at?

At least the Timberwolves are currently 3rd in their conference with a 6-2 record. Much more than you can say for the Buffalos after the same number of games(ish). And when the Timberwolves inevitably collapse and hover around .500 and barely squeak in the play-in tournament, you're not going to see me continue to post in this thread and constantly bump it back up and cast character aspersions on the people who are just trolling to have a good time.

(admittedly, I'd absolutely post in a Wolves thread. My youngest loves the Wolves, ride or die.)

If only you had watched hours of media coverage that you weren't required to watch so you could then complain about having to watch all of that coverage, and then spend even more time you aren't required to spend shitting on the team on an unrelated message board.... then you'd understand.

Not forced to watch? Huh? If you follow college football it was unavoidable

Seems like every segment of every show these days is broken down into their own videos or chapters in a longer video... being "forced" to watch hours of ESPN content that's stating the same shit in different formats just to catch a few things of interest seems like a thing of the distant past.

I'm sure I miss out on some good content because I have no desire to sift through all the fake hype and so forth, if it's not easily accessible.
