The WR play has obviously been poor, but the favorable scheduling gives them time to figure it out. Also it is not surprising that they can't beat the Jets corners in man coverage.

It matters because until a primary target emerges… when you have a bunch of WRs only good for a few targets per game, there will be a number of snaps where nobody is open. We need a target monster like juju was. Not because you need to every single game. But because there are games where we need someone outside of the RBs and TEs to step up. Yesterday was that kind of game.

Until then, kelces gonna get mugged. Mahomes is going to be indecisive, make bad decisions and is going to get roasted by critics looking for any excuse to attack Superman. And they are going to look drained and frustrated. We shouldn’t take for granted the emotional toll of carrying 200x more on their back.

I get that nyj has a great defense and that these young guys need time. But until these WRs aren’t a liability we don’t have to sugarcoat that these WRs for now are bad. we can be patient and willing to see how it progresses while also not just shrugging off bad wr pertormances.

Only one WR was even targeted more than twice. That WR was only targeted 5 times. Which makes sense, when you see that they only caught the ball at a 58% rate.

The point being, their contribution in terms of yards/points was next to insignificant.

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, when are they going to start proving it? Because they literally did almost nothing to prove it tonight, outside of there's nothing wrong with KT's hands.

Because I'm pretty sure that the gameplan wasn't to have Pat stand there behind a good pocket for 7+ seconds before saying "**** it," and taking off for a twenty-yard scramble. Pretty sure that wasn't the way those plays were supposed to be executed.

We were in Heavy formation much of the time... This is the normal result.

Chiefs also lost to the Bengals at home while up 21-3 at half and with a healthy Tyreek. Let's not get too cocky here.

The WRs def need to improve as season goes on or Chiefs will more than likely exit at some point during the playoffs

We aren't the only team to do that. Now Buffalo doesn't count because they will run up the score on bad teams but a lot of other teams do what we do.
