I think the new trend of the NFL is for teams to skirt around the salary cap with their QB's, get them to take Tom Brady deals, and then hire a team of marketers to ensure these QB's get tons of local commercial and appearance deals to make up for their lost salary while circumventing the cap at the same time !

I realize at this point Joe Flacco somehow transforms into a good QB in the postseason even though he is average - terrible the entire regular season ...

but the mere fact he depends on week 17 miracles every year to get into the playoffs is enough for me to continue to say, "Joe Flacco blows."

He just has never passed the eye test one time for me. It just doesn't make sense to me. Why is he so average in the regular season, even in big games ... but then plays his best ball in the playoffs? It's baffling.

it took Chase Daniel to beat the Chargers for the Ravens to make the playoffs

this is like a year in and year out thing with the Ravens

Eh, yeah, probably not quite. The Elite 3 (assuming Manning is healthy, which can't really be safely assumed). Then you've got a next tier which is Ben, Brees, Romo, Rivers, Wilson in some order. Then right below that is the next grouping, which includes Flacco. So he's not quite top 25%, but certainly top half.
