Offensive struggles the last 2 years are personnel driven, not coaching

Idk how anyone cannot see this.

Andy Reid stood at the combine in 2023 and said Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney were their top WR’s. We saw how that went.

In fact, can anyone tell me without looking what WR has had the most snaps of any Chiefs WR the last 2 seasons? Anyone? Ready for it? It’s Justin Watson. Nobody has played more snaps at that position than him the last 2 years.

Don’t even get me started on the OL. A late 3rd and late 2nd on tackles are considered projects. They are not real shots at a LT historically speaking. Shocking that they turned out to look like projects.
We have had 5 starting LT’s the last 2 years. FIVE.

The RB room had the least explosive plays of any RB room in the entire league. Only 17 10+ explosive plays all year. We even had some loser with an Alligator that plays FB take starting snaps

I get that it sucked losing Pacheco, Hollywood and Rashee. I understand and am not faulting Veach. The fact is that Kareem Hunt, Juju, DeAndre Hopkins and Travis Kelce are old. They aren’t explosive anymore. That was painfully clear tonight. It’s why Veach doesn’t like signing 30+ year old players unless he absolutely has to.

Again this isn’t a Veach bitch fest it’s just the facts. I think Veach is gonna take a hammer to this offense and hard after OL and explosive playmakers.

Thankfully he’s got an extra pick early thanks to Sneed

Personnel looks much much better this year at WR if they can stay healthy. Speed has gotten significantly better on the back end of the WR room with Royals and Thornton.
No no I was told it was the OL or the WR's, definitely not the QB not playing well.

It can be both with the former affecting the latter.

Hollywood injured in preseason
Pacheco injured in week 2
Rice injured at the beginning of week 4
Kingsley benched in week 2

If your opinion is that Mahomes is the problem bc he should have put up 50 TD’s and 5k yards under those conditions with Justin Watson and (a still learning) Worthy as his WR1/WR2 and an old declining TE as his weapons with a LT that is getting him hit more than any other LT, idk what your expectations are.

Kinda like saying Jeff Gordon should win driving a Toyota Corolla.

Nice strawman there.

Put up 50 tds and 5k yards? Nah.

Not jump in the fetal position and miss things open? Yeah.

I think there were a lot of stretches where the Dee was dominating and Patrick had the mind set of not wanting to throw a pick and play very safe.

Maybe don’t get your QB hit 12 times a game and nuke the offense? 34% pressure from LT. Almost 10% higher than the 2nd worst team.

52% pressure rate in the SB. Most on a QB in 5 years per Nextgen stats.

Again do you think this doesn’t affect the QB? Why do you think they paid Jaylon Moore and drafted Josh Simmons?

Why are they also saying to the public "we need our QB to be better and throw the ball downfield more".

As we've seen when different QB's come in to different OL's, pressure stats are alot more on the QB than any one here wants to acknowledge

Bc it’s both. But there is no denying that the best way to beat offenses is to hit the QB and it affects them. Mahomes has been on of the best QB’s at sack avoidance.

When a pass rush has insane pressure with 4 and dropping 7, it almost always ends badly for the offense and QB.

Mahomes in both SB’s.

Brady 2X vs Giants
Manning vs Seahawks

Brady and Manning had the best statistical offenses in NFL history the year they went to the SB averaging 37 or more PPG. Here’s what happened to them:

Patriots: 14 pts total
Broncos: 8 points total

Anyone with eyes can see that pressure stats for Mahomes have been inflated by his own play. But then again people here will blame the LT for letting his defender get to Mahomes even though he pushed the defender 10 yards up field.

Can it be both? The coaches are in charge of the player alignments so when the LT and LG were getting beaten badly in the SB, isn't some of the responsibility on the coaches to be able to adjust and help the players? When you are being physically dominated, there's only so much technique can handle so, wasn't this a combination of both?

Coaches evaluate players and a huge miss on a 2nd round pick in Skyy Moore is more of a failing on both as well.

I know Mahomes is the best in the game however pressure speeds up everyone's internal clock and he made a number of very uncharacteristic errors in the game. Similar to the loss to the Bengals, perhaps he was knocked a little bit off?

So do you think the LT play was ok?
