It's really early, but which UDFAs does CP think will make the roster? It sounds like Briningstool has a great shot at the 53, and maybe Badger if we keep 7 WRs. If we only keep 6 WRs, the Chiefs will try to put him on the practice squad, and I think they'll do the same with Pole and George. They would have to clear waivers before being put on the PS, right?

Yeah on clearing waivers. You have the right names it seems. I would guess Badger because he could probably be a better WR than Remigio even with Remigio being the best returner. The rookie RB and Nohl Williams could fill in there in that scenario. I did enjoy Remigios post season contributions last year I’m just not sure how he fits in the offense and can he consistently get open

I know he was a rookie last year, but I think Lovett makes the roster.

Why? Well, who the hell else besides old man Pennel is going to do that job?

Only thing I didn’t like from pre season was his lack of range. Very small sample size and let me explain range. His frame is outstanding. 35”+ 11” hands 6’4 320 and looks like he carries good weight there. Very much in shape. But lead feet and his pursuit angles are good just being slow and not all that athletic hurts his range. I think it’s something I would watch for again and see if I was wrong because he sure fits the style as a developmental nose. I would keep him on the ps at the least because of those traits. Gotta love Pennel keep being a solid player and filling a role but like you I have to wonder how much longer he can keep grinding

The stretch plays I forgot to mention in relation to his range or lack of

He's a dawg. Dawgs rarely live to grow old, but if they do they just get meaner.

Better recognize.

Then maybe we just go small a lot. Omenihu frequently flips inside and maybe we ask him to do more of that this year.

Wharton was really starting to play above his stature and be solid against the run. We’ll probably miss that

Before they took Norman Lott I was thinking play Danna inside even more to make up for Wharton loss. But I probably still would and even hope FAU could start and earn some more pass rush snaps. With the youngsters it’s about being able to do enough to be a game day active instead of one of the 2-3 inactive DL. Plenty of competition in all sorts of career stages and situations could extend into the PS either youth/developmental or the 6 (max)of 17 PS spots going to vets you could see a Tillery etc there like Deon Bush or #48 the LB whose last name escapes me at the moment. Transition year with some new faces and they will carry 10-11 on the 53

Ah. Forgot about Tillery.

Let’s hope he sees a late career renaissance like Pennel did

Badger could make the team if they only keep 6.

They obviously like having a vertical stretch X they carried Watson and MVS because that's what they do. Think about this the locks on the roster are..

Rice, Worthy, Brown and Royals the other 2 spots are open. JuJu likely has an inside track for 1 spot but that last spot..if Brashard Smith is gonna be the returner then Remigio becomes a guy who has to show something at WR.
