With the issues I had with PS2 & then all the issues everyone had with the 360, I'm not buy a console day of release again. Let the initial bugs get worked out, let people play the systems and make rational statements on what the positives/negatives about each console are like so that people like me can make an informed decision.

I just don't get worked up about this stuff like you've done. I'm glad that you hate MS & love PS. I'm iffy on both of them and just waiting for someone to really claim my families dollars - because with 3 kids & myself that play games, we buy a lot of shit.

Yeah, I've said this before, but I honestly think we're on the doorstep of the obvious "no physical media" future. Once Google, and eventually its competitors, get done building their fiber networks, cloud storage and cloud computing will fully come to bear. I think M$ is just trying to set a precedent here (because how do you really let someone borrow a digital copy of something?), while taking some of the money out of those evil GameStop ****s' pockets and possibly ripping the consumer off in the process.

I think XBL is heavily investing in servers in order to power their cloud while Sony will probably just now be getting to the current XBL level.

This is all really interesting to me and I really want to see how it will all play out. I'm really curious to see what's going to happen with these "open world online" RPGs and shooters and outright MMOs that seem to be the new console craze (and have existed on PCs for a decade and a half). Who's going to be providing the servers, the publisher or XBL/PSN? Those servers cost a lot of money to run. Are we going to see F2P/P2W with microtransactions paying for the servers or is there going to be the $15 fee on top of the $5 we have to pay every month?

So many questions...
