I think there are a lot of people here who don't want to root for him.

I've always said, Mattie has huge heart, great work ethic, but he doesn't seem to inspire people. At all. Every time you see highlights of him on the sidelines, his teamates almost seem amused at his "leadership" attempts. It's sad really. Matt WANTS to be good, is probably doing everything right, but the problem is, he just isn't very good at it. The leadership OR the talent part...which is most important. So...yeah.

On 3 Guy in a Garage tonight (810 radio) they were talking to a Broncos beat writer on the whole Manning ordeal. They asked him about Quinn and he went on and on about how he should of at the very least been the #2 QB behind Orton.
He really liked Quinn and said in the right system could be a very high caliber potential franchise QB. He brought up what many on this board have said in regards to the lack of talent he had in Cleveland and the situation with Tebow in Denver. He also said he would be very cautious about bring Tebow in as a QB just for the fact he has a large fan-base and if he isn't starting, management will have a similar scenario on their hands as Denver had. I take it with a grain of salt as I really wasn't expecting him to bash a newly acquired QB on a KC sports radio station. But it was interesting to hear him bring up the same argument as others have on this bored about the scenarios he (Quinn) as been put in-in his young career thus far.

Quinn can be better then Cassel.
Let's find out. If he fails, we get a shiney new QB in the draft. If he succeeds, that's good, too. With this offensive Coordinator and Coaching staff I would be amazed if any of them succeed. |

What? Young QBs don't immediately excel because sometimes they find themselves in terrible situations? No ****ing way.

Did you not enjoy our fantastically successful season considering we lost a whole bunch of starters to injury at the beginning of the year and were two blocked field goals away from a second consecutive division title after facing a very very difficult schedule? If you want more of the same next year, it's not a very good idea to go with an unproven starter at QB. You're risking moral victories for us here, and it's not appreciated! |

I think Daboll will be good. Cassel needs his ass chewed out constantly. Haley got kind of soft on him towards the end there and it showed.

I'm telling you.....you're going to see a different Quinn this season. And if I'm wrong.....I'll eat my words.

So what is so special about Dabolls offense that might make the Quinn the ideal QB to run it other than already being familiar with it?
