Vegas Roll Call! Game and/or Weekend

Glad I decided to save my money and skip Baltimore! Would have been fun to see a road AFCG win, but now the eye is on the big prize.

Airline miles tickets are booked. Have a hotel on reserve. Now just gotta figure out what’s up for the weekend and if game tickets are a real possibility or not.

Second market looking very high so far. When do they release to STH? Is anyone selling to the board before posting to StubHub/etc? Looking for a pair, please let me know, if so!

What other tailgates are there all weekend long or at the game? In Miami they did not allow parking lot tailgates, so I wonder what we will see in Vegas.

This is true. I actually booked the City Center Hilton Garden Inn which is just west of the strip, but actually more convenient to Allegiant. The other two locations further away were even less, but I wanted some convenience.

If anyone else has a lead on tickets, please let me know as well. Serous about buying if there is a reasonable alternative to current second market.

Anyone on a limited budget should look at renting an RV to stay in and drive around. Stay away from the strip in a quiet location. Uber in and Uber out. Take to sightsee.

Much cheaper.

Staying at any of the hotels on the west side of the strip near Mandalay Bay will make the trip to the stadium super easy. Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay (and Four Seasons if price is no object, which is on the top floors of the Mandalay Bay) are all connected by a tram and you can walk from Mandalay Bay over the highway (which they close down on game day) to get to Allegiant stadium. Super convenient.

I can’t imagine how much things like parking will be jacked up during the Super Bowl. Living here I’m just going to Uber to Mandalay Bay because I could see them charging $100+ just for parking.

Any thoughts on being West of the highway, same side as Allegiant? That’s where I am, but a bit North. Is there a straight shot to walk down, or will I have to do the typical zig zagging in Vegas going up and over a bunch of times?

I stayed there in 2010 and didn't like it one bit. Mainly because of the time share people that harassed us every 15 feet all weekend long. If it wasn't for them I'm sure it's an okay place to stay, although that end of the strip isn't really privy to my Vegas interests.

Is it to say that you went to see your team in person?
Is it the whole atmosphere of hanging out in that environment?
Is it to see celebrities and be with a unique crowd once a year?

I don't think any other single premier event goes hyper-cost increase than the Super Bowl.

Not the Daytona or Indy 500, US Open for golf or tennis, Rolling Stones or Bruce Springsteen tickets.

This seems like a $10,000 a person or greater event for a very short period of time, almost lile paying for a small wedding.

For any of you who recently attended, is it really worth all the extra money? Why is it so great to attend in person?

I went to the 100th US Open at Pebble Beach and it did not come across as so much better than other PGA golf events I have attended.

No criticism, just really curious.
I went to Miami and Superbowl 54 with my son. The whole weekend cost about $15k with tix to the game and having known the outcome now, I would have paid double. Absolutely the best weekend of my life. I have a video of me an my son crying like little girls after Williams runs in the TD to go up 31-20 and you knew we had done it. I am fortunate to have done well and was able to afford to do that and as they say, "you can't take it with you". I was close to pulling the trigger last year, but win or lose, I don't think anything can top SB 54 that exorcised all the "because Chiefs" demons.

That seems much better than $750-$1000 a night in hotel. Also can fit more people in RV than one hotel room.

It's not my cup of tea but it is an alternative for people who are trying to keep costs as low as possible.

Pop up campers need a vehicle.
RVs need a place to park and gas.

None of which applies to a limited budget.
Wow tho. With your abundance of self esteem and pretentious nature, I get why you pay for it.
