Internet Debate: 100 Men vs. 1 Gorilla

This has been going viral the past couple days.

Who would win in a fight: 100 unarmed men or 1 gorilla?

I personally think the sheer number of humans would overpower the gorilla and people are both 1. Underestimating how many people 100 is, and 2. Overestimating the strength and stamina of a gorilla.

Verdict: 100 men win fairly comfortably with the caveat that there will be some casualties.

What say you? 100 men or 1 gorilla?

Promises, promises.

If 100 men can't figure out how get one gorilla into an ankle bar or at least use their 1000lbs to pile on they are not men I want to go to war with.

Pansies.

I'm a little torn on this, no pun intended. At first, I was with the guys who thought that 100 grown men could find a way to overpower and kill a gorilla. And I still probably would bet on that, if I had to put my life on a side. But the more I think about it, the more I keep coming back to the psychological side and the fact that you can only have so many guys attacking the gorilla at once. Oh and I will add, this has to be one of the larger one's. The average gorilla I don't think would do well. But one of the legendary ****ers, I don't know that even the dog pile strategy would work because the bottom 70 or whatever dudes are suffocating as well. I don't know. This would be close. I'd pay to see it. We should get some death row dudes and give em freedom if they win.

Oh but I would defintiely take the ghost of Gorilla Monsoon vs 100 dudes, all day.

Estimated the largest ones can deadlift 815 kgs. It's gonna throw the **** out of a lot of men before you can overwhelm it and smother it. I guess I'd rather be thrown than have my head ripped from my shoulders?

I'm not saying it's impossible but you're gonna watch some ****ed up mutilation on your way in. So don't blink!

InvinciBill would rip a gorilla apart. Wouldn’t be fair.

99 dudes would just watch in horror.

You simply cannot apply 100 men at the same time on a gorilla

Dude has ultra monkey strength, and a bite force more powerful than a grizzly with yuge canine teeth

Quote:
If we're talking about 100 ChiefsPlanet members—an online community mostly made up of Kansas City Chiefs fans (many of whom are regular folks, not trained fighters)—the answer becomes more entertaining but also less optimistic:

Realistically?
Highly unlikely without weapons or coordination. Most forum members are not trained fighters or athletes, and many are likely older or out of peak physical condition. A silverback gorilla is a 400+ lb machine of muscle, aggression, and instinct.

Why It'd Go Wrong:
No plan, just memes: You'd probably get 30 guys standing back live-tweeting the fight, 20 arguing about Mahomes vs. Brady, 10 filming it, and maybe 5 trying to talk the gorilla into joining the Chiefs' O-line.

Those who charge in: They’d likely get yeeted in all directions.

Eventually overwhelmed? Maybe, but only if the gorilla trips over the pile of hot wings and collapses from laughter or confusion.

Final Verdict:
100 ChiefsPlanet members vs. a gorilla = Gorilla wins, unless they somehow use their combined wit and sarcasm to mentally break it down.

Would you like a humorous "battle breakdown" in RPG-style stats?
