Dr. Z (my favorite NFL columnist) put together his own All 90's team. He inculdes the picks of Mike Giddings (personnel consultant/guru to 13 NFL teams), and uses the same criteria Giddings used. It's based on performance for a players best 4,5, and 6 years in the decade. Anyone playing less than 4 years in the 90's doesn't get consideration. Here's the link (I hope HTML works here or someone will have to show me hpw to do a link in UBB) ALL 90's TEAM

Anyway, several Chiefs and former Chiefs made the list, although Giddings was more Chief freindly than Z. Our ALL 90's players were:

1) Dave Szott
2) Tim Grunhard
3) Dan Saleamua

Not sure, but that might be more placements than almost any team.

Any 90'sw Team without Derrick Thomas is a fraud. http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/mad.gif

I agree Chi, I have no idea who could not put DT on the team. We are going to miss him, even if he were a half step slower, in a game last night, the Packer came up behind the Miami QB, sacked him, and I thought to myself DT would have stripped the ball clean.

Not necesssarily a fraud. You need to look at what measure someone uses. If you identify an OLBs primary responsibility as sacking the QB, Derrick was the man. As much as I loved the guy, he was one dimensional. He did go a long way to proving he could be a more complete LB in his last season though. Giddings and Z are looking for complete players, not just ones that get star stats. It's like comparing Alstott to Richardson (or previously Anders), Alstott has more name recognition and star quality because he gets more carries and makes a bigger media splash. Tony Richardson is a more complete FB, because he can block too.
