I need hope

I need some level of hope today for the organization that I follow.

I seem to have wandered off the path of Chiefs fandom and have wound up at the corner of Hatred and Contempt. Hell, before that, I was driving down Ambivalence Street - where there was still some level of hope.

Well, I'm going to sit on this corner for a while before I head down any path. I'm searching for hope, and a bit of logic and reason. If you see any, please let me know. My current map is leading me off the path of being a "true fan" and pushing me down the road of a casual bandwaggoner. Your help is greatly appreciated......

I remember what it was like when the the Avalanche won their second title and how I was jumping around the hotel room in Vegas.

Then I think of all the pain the Chiefs have dragged me through, and the years that made it hard to stay a fan, and can only imagine what that celebration will be like when they finally do make it.

And while I wish nothing but a full recovery for Lamar, I think we all know how Lamar's son feels about Carl.

We have a younger crew that is gaining experience. We have some veterans around that will have good things rub off on the newer guys. We can build this team around Larry Johnson, the baddest ass running back in the league. Herm is bringing Defense. We are better than we were last year on D and we will continue to improve.

Hope, there is no hope! Hope is a myth. Hope is like redrums mum, the more you want it, the more it runs from you. Er, wait a minute, that doesn't describe redrums mum at all.... shoot, there goes that idea.
