The time is once again here for us few fans of the NHL to have a thread to discuss the Stanley Cup.

Use this thread to discuss how your team is doing (or not Avs and Blues fans... LOL)

For those uninterested, feel free to waste your time telling us how hockey sucks...it will only make the thread stay at the top longer.

so once your team is/if booted from the playoffs you just stop watching, you don't cheer for another team, or want one certain team to win more then the others.....good for you..

Although they have choked the past few years... this year they seem to be playing with a little more heart. They've been missing that power forward role that Shanny filled when he was younger and McCarty always seemed to step into during the playoffs, they traded for that guy, in Bertuzzi (I know... he had that shitty move against the Avs a few years back, but he's still a player). Also, their best scorer isn't playing hurt like he was last year. add to that they have a playoff proven Hall of Fame guy in goal, rather than a career backup like last year.
They also have some paybacks toward Calgary... so I don't think they will lose first round this year. I hope I'm not wrong again.

I know, I just had to trash 'em real quick. I won't say anything else until and if they get past round 1. Except yeah, I was not at all shocked to see they hired the king of all thugs - obviously we don't have to debate it and I am not trying to start one.

They deserve any "choker" label they get... They have choked the past couple of seasons. As for Bertuzzi, he will ALWAYS be seen as a thug... but since Clause Lemiuex was allowed to play after his cheaper shot on Draper... then Bert has paid his price.

As far as a debate, since I spent most of the season focused on the Pens, I didn't get the chance to follow the Wings as closely, so I don't know that I'd be able to hold up my end, other than to be a homer.
