most likely we are alone, or might as well be because the distances are so vast that it wouldnt really be practical unless some civilization reached 3rd tier status (harnessing the energy of a black hole).

If that was the case we probably wont hear from them unless they want us to and/or we would have heard from them by now...and they certainly wouldnt come here just to probe cows or abduct hillbillys

A civilization like this (3rd tier) is most probably not in our galaxy.....

I do not believe we are the only beings in the universe. But we are held to the same laws of physics.

Light travels only at 186,000 mps. That is slow is the vastness of space.
Some planet discovered was 26 light years away. Even if creatures on that planet could travel at the speed of light-it would take 26 Earth years. They would have to perfect-anti aging and have a lot of food for energy. That is one hell of a long road trip.

Is this real??? To be determined. Maybe they saw what was happening to people on Earth and decided to get the hell out of here.

When traveling at the speed of light, time stops. 26 years means nothing at that point.

Please enlighten us on how traveling at the speed of light actually works. I'm sure NASA would like to hear it, too.

time only stops for those on board

all of their families and friends on other planets or space stations keep aging, making any long voyage essentially saying goodbye to everyone you know.

also, the planets we discovered that are as close as 26 light years are probably not inhabitable.., the odds are that any life out there is going to be much much farther away than that.

any civilization that is advanced enouch to travel that fast, would have already colonized most or all of the inhabitable planets in the galaxy within a relatively short period of time from getting the technology to travel and terraform.

It is highly likely that no civilation in our galaxy has this technology.

based on our criteria, which is ****ing ridiculous to imagine is unilateral across infinite possibilities.

Yep, CNN is trying to find anything, anything to boost their ratings from the FAKE news reputation they have garnered.
