More disappointing than Cassel choking like bitch?

Our coordinators

No one is surprised that Cassel couldn't rise to the occasion (Pats fans have long lectured us to love and accept this mediocrity), but both Crennel and Weis got their asses kicked.

These guys have rings, I expected better.

We have Charles, Moeaki, and that worthless midget McCluster....why couldn't we run that short middle stuff that the Ravens were killing us with?

And we couldn't throw a simple slant to Bowe?....Really?

Ravens destroyed us on 3rd down. Our early blitzes were worthless. The defense got better, and held them to fgs for a awhile, but we couldn't get them off the field in the first half when it was crucial.

It was obvious on the first drive that the Ravens OC saw a weakness in our defense, and exploited it.

I thought we had a great chance to win largely based on the pedigree of our coordinators. Still shocked.

O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?

Why should Crennel get a free pass? Even before the turnovers, the defense couldn't get off the field. Just look at the disparity in time of possession in the first half. Romeo was incapable of making adjustments yesterday. It was like Greg Robinson all over again. Hey Romeo, if your young safety is getting owned by a bigger, stronger and smarter TE, then put a LB on the f'ng line and mug that SOB. Disrupt his f'ng routes and don't allow him to get into his f'ng patterns!!! He pushed Berry around from the very beginning. You should have f'ng done something before the 4th WIDE OPEN reception. **** YOU, GRANDPA.

OK, I feel better now. Carry on.

It is a little early to assume that Romeo is staying.

Weis frequents a local pizza joint by my house up north that I frequent as well (great tv's and cheap beer) and according to him Romeo hates Coach Haley too and will look to ride into one of the open head coaching jobs if at all possible. I know that seems obvious, but I figured he would be happy as a D-Coordinator and not be shopping himself around. I don't see this happening, but it is dissapointing to know he is looking at other opportunities after just one year.

Weis made it clear he H A T E S coach Haley. Before hearing this I thought everyones speculation was a conspiracy theory but he made his dissatisfaction loud and clear. He also said that he didnt enjoy the immaturity of college players and had planned to never go back but this was before all of the drama. Supposedly Florida is paying for his sons entire medical education whether Charlie stays there or not. After Notre Dame paid his ass 18 million to leave you'd think he could afford the tab anyways. His wife never really lived here in KC, and I think we are possibly better off without him.

However, even though I really like Coach Haley especially after the inmate's running the asylum coaching styles of Herm and DV, we need to retain talented coordinators to be successful. I really hope Romeo sticks around for the long haul.

They had 2 legit drives iirc. Romeos defense did their job for the most part. The Ravens got the ball to start the drive at our 40 more than a few times. Can't put that on the defense.

I'm not sure how anyone can blame the defense.

It's not like it wasn't a 10-7 game with 9:00 to go in the 3rd quarter, and we'd had the ball on offense for all of 12:00 to that point.

They'd done a damn good job to that point considering they'd been on the field for approximately 24 of the first 36 minutes of the game.

I understand your take, I was simply sharing information I was given. I didn't create a thread to announce anything and shove it down your throat, I was simply passing along info I found interesting.

At that point, they were on the field so long in large part due to the scheme and failure to stop the Ravens on 3rd down. The offensive turnovers put the nail in the coffin for them.

They saw the same damned weakness that dozens of people on this site saw in the ****ing preseason.

The obstinacy of a lot of NFL OCs is mind-boggling at times.

I thought last week's vanilla play-calling was maybe some way to disguise things for the play-offs but after watching the game yesterday, it's pretty clear that it was just Weis mailing it in.

I agree.

The defense's 3rd and long performance was anger-inspiring, but they didn't break.

The offense was a pile of shit, with Cassel and Weis being the cherries on top.

It wasn't the scheme on Defense that allowed Balt to convert the third downs early in the game. It was DJs complete inability to cover or tackle Ray rice.

I think the defense did an outstanding job. Being on the field forever, finally wore their asses out. Letting the opposition start from your 20, after your own ****ing Offense turns it over on the first play, repeatedly, is not going to allow your defense a chance to succeed.

The defense brought their A game IMO.

The offense is so full of problems except for Jamaal Charles, the rest need to be shitcanned and start over. Get rid of all of them.
