Clearly Hunt doesn't want Mahomes. He will be gone in 3 years. God I'm starting to hate this franchise. Who knew there was a gene that hates drafting a QB? It runs strong in the Hunt family.

Don't like saying it ,but this seems plausible. ChUNT did not like how his money was being spent.

If Mahomes flops like Blackledge, Clark will be waking up in the middle of the night to his Dad saying I told you so! Do you remember the 80s Chiefs?

I am thrilled they did it, don't get me wrong, it's going to be fun to watch but it isn't my money.

That's a very strange leap to take

Clark signed off on the trade up. I don't believe this to be true.

Dorsey was crazy pumped by the trade and pick. It's his deal and he will always get 1000% of the credit/blame for Mahomes. Clarkbar and his new GM won't accept a discounted amount of credit for the Chiefs success over the next 15 years. Mahomes will not be the franchise QB of the Chiefs. Think about it, Mahomes is Dorsey's signiature deal. If Mahomes becomes a stud, Clarkbar looks like an idiot for dumping Dorsey. This could not have happened at a worse time.

I don't agree with any of this

They will give credit to Andy Reid for coaching him up. Andy Reid had say in the pick or it wouldn't have happened. If we promote from internally then it's just a matter of our scouts keep getting us quality in the draft that's all we have to worry about.

If Mahomes becomes a stud none of this matters, its hard to loose with stud/franchise QBs. Everybody wins.

Where I think you are on the right track is if Mahomes struggles he may get the hook quicker than he would if the guy that drafted him was here. While its likely all agreed on the move I think this was Dorseys deal.
