-- Beans - the past due thread.
Hi,
I'd like to know what beans you enjoy? How you make them? What side-items you include. Condiments atop their finished product. Just go on and on for months about nothing but beans, here. I love beans and they're super healthy, affordable and act as a virtual meat. Anyone ever use ham base? Anyhow - go on about your bean preferences! Today I'm fixing Great Northerns and Pintos / Medley - Ham hock as well All About Beans The Ham Loaf guy's procedure has been embedded below - as has a bean/Legume chart for reference (though incomplete) Last edited by Simply Red; 03-03-2018 at 01:15 PM.. |

Chick Peas are hard, gross pieces of shit... until they're ground into hummus that is, then they're quite edible

There are several good red beans and rice recipies for the instant pot floating around. It saves 1/2 a day and the flavor is there.

If there's a bean out there I don't like I haven't found it yet. I've even been known to take a can of Campbells bean with bacon soup concentrated and eat it right out of the can.
And Frito's bean dip is an awesome snack. |

You said something there, brother.
Salty, savory, creamy and slightly spicy. Perfect mate for corn tortilla, regular or Frito's own. Whenever I crack open one of those cans, I gotta have an inconvenient place in mind to put it, so it's too much of a PITA to go get it and finish it off. Somewhere in the back of the fridge behind the box of OJ or something. Otherwise I'm chowing it down in one sitting and now I'm miserably stuffed. Last edited by Baby Lee; 03-04-2018 at 10:37 PM.. |

There's some recipes online that say they mimic that of the Frito-Lay bean dip.

I saw some prepared kind of like potato chips in bag at my local drug store. I tried them, they were pretty good.

They're in a bag, meant as a snack, hanging in a store. Kind of like potato chips. These really aren't like Corn Nuts.
