What makes you a Matt Cassel fan next season?

What does he have to do to convince you he is worth the starting spot? I won't say worth the $ cause I don't think that will ever happen but, that being said....

Cassel is going to have to work on his mechanics. I think he needs work in that area for sure, once his mechanics improve, he'll make better throws.

I also think he needs better protection, and has to play the game better with his eyes. Lack of protection, bad vision led him forcing alot of throws this year.

He needs to develop some really important attributes for a quarterback that is poise and confidence. He gets too timid and jumpy back there in the pocket, he needs to relax more. The confidence will come once he starts making the throws and has better players around him, and of course when the Chiefs win. Thats all a part of believing in yourself and your teammates. If he could do these things I'll be a fan next year.

*All of this is going to come with the assistance of Charlie Weis

Once again, completely missing the point.

People aren't bitching to bitch. Most stupid people don't like to know the ingredients of life and it pains them when they see behind the curtain.

It's far easier to marginalize people who see this regime as a fraud with all the red flags popping up because it means that you don't have to consider the fact that it will be another 4 years before they get someone in here who can actually fix the problem.

I think it's absolutely hysterical that you bitched about Herm and Dick Curl for three ****ing years, whining and crying like a blind baby in a snowstorm, yet Tyler ****ING Thigpen, in eleven games last season, threw for 18 TDs and 12 INT's and rushed for 3 more while throwing for 2600 yards and a QB rating of 76.

Cassel, the savior, threw 16/16 for 2900 yards had a QB rating of 69.

I'm laughing at your duplicity.

What makes me a Matt Cassel fan is that he's the only thing we have for this next year. And I'm not one of those people who's going to go for 16 games (20 with preseason) angry the whole time because things aren't how I want them to be.

During the season, I'm a fan of whoever is on the field. The off-season is another story.

11 wins and I'm a Cassel fan again. I'm not a hater but the jury is still out.

I'm a pretty big Cassel fan, and I think he's going to get better next year (forgive me if what I post has already been said, I didn't feel like going through 8 pages of Cassel hate).

First off, he didn't have consistent coaching this year and I think having to change schemes right before the regular season hurt him quite a bit. That and the fact that he didn't have a QB Coach/OC that had enough time to spend helping him along.

You can throw all the stats you want at me, but a QBs only going to be as good as his WRs/OL let him. I know the OL improved later in the season, but the WRs really didn't. When you're trotting Bobby Wade and Lance Long out there, it's gunna take a lot of work for the QB to come through looking good.

Anyway... That's my 2 cents. Hate away.

Your two cents has been devalued to GM status.

Don't underestimate the value of good line play to the value of of good QB performance.

I realize Cassel took a lot of sacks during his 11 wins at New England but you have to admit that our O-line was one of the worst in the NFL for at least 12 of our games this year.
