Rosenhaus to get canned?
Report: Boldin to fire super-agent Rosenhaus
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9...gent-Rosenhaus Anquan Boldin has made it clear he wants to play for a new NFL team. Now he apparently wants a new agent as well. The Cardinals' star wide receiver has informed the Arizona Cardinals and the NFL Players Association of his intention to fire super-agent Drew Rosenhaus, according to a report Tuesday on ESPN.com. Rosenhaus represents more NFL players than any other agent, according to the report. "Regarding Anquan Boldin, let me say that I have great respect for him," Rosenhaus told the Web site in a statement. "I'm hopeful we can work this out and he can return to the Rosenhaus Sports family in the near future." Boldin has reached out to other agents in recent weeks, according to the report, which cited an unnamed source. Specifically, Boldin contacted Kennard McGuire, CAA agents Tom Condon and Ben Dogra, and two of teammate Larry Fitzgerald's agents, Eugene Parker and Paul Lawrence. Boldin first asked to be traded last offseason when the Cardinals refused to give him a contract extension. After the team failed to move him, Boldin caught 89 passes for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns in the 2008 season, earning him his third Pro Bowl selection. Boldin has renewed his request for a trade this offseason, and last month Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed that teams had been contacting Arizona about Boldin's availability. |

I don't agree..........Boldin took a hostile action and went after Haley. Showing disrespect against a coach. That doesn't fly to most coaches in my opinion.

Didn't both Haley and Boldin make comments since Haley came to KC about how they would want to work together again? |

No offense, but those signs would be displayed by people with short memories! I know it's en vogue to slam Tony because he wanted to leave the team to go to a winner. Why then embrace a replacement who wanted to leave his team to go to the highest bidder????

At that point in time, Boldin had been the more productive receiver. This isn't about going to the highest bidder. This is about getting shit on by the Cardinal franchise.

exactly, this is forgivable IMO. he asked, he deserved, he didn't get, he played very good. He asked again, he deserves again, and so far he hasn't gotten it yet. |

I have a ton of respect for Boldin. He's one of the toughest (and best) players in the whole league. I am on record (if anybody would care to search) that I would love to bring him to KC. This isn't about him or about Tony G, but about how the players are perceived by fans.
We as fans of a single team know a lot about its players, in particular guys like Gonzo. He didn't do everything right while he was here but I think he was well within his rights to demand a trade from a team that wasn't living up to its potential (couldn't win a playoff game) in his 12 seasons. He felt like he had given his all to the franchise and wasn't getting a reasonable return. Fair enough. I don't agree with it, but I understand it. IMO that was a much more reasonable demand than a player asking for a trade because he is only making X million instead of Y million. I don't care who that player was playing for. If Boldin is brought in here, we know what to expect. It's like dating a girl who sleeps around. What do you think is going to happen? Boldin might look like he's got his ducks in a row now because he's fighting the Cardinals franchise (admittedly idiots), but if he tried the same schtick in KC the viewpoint would be a whole lot different. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, JMO. |
