One kind of alcoholic beverage for the rest of your life...

You're told you can only have one specific alcoholic beverage for the rest of your life with no substitutions - and as compensation, you're given an unlimited supply of said beverage - but can never imbibe in another.

What do you choose?

I can't even narrow this down to less than 3 options.

In the hard liquor category, it's easy. Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 23 Year Old Bourbon.

In the beer category, not so much. Narrowed down to Hopslam from Bell's Brewery in Michigan, and Art of Neurosis from 2nd Shift Brewery in New Haven, Missouri.

Cold beer. Naked margaritas. It's 10 in the morning here and already 94 degrees. These are the two staples that make sitting by the pool under the misters complete. Cheers.

This is a tough one. The extreme flavors would get old pretty quick. I like a stout beer once in a while but not all the time. I like a dry red wine once in a while but not all the time.

I think I'd have to go with the mellow flavors of a really good bourbon. MM or Buffalo Trace.

The price isn't the issue so much as actually finding a bottle to buy in the first place. Pappy has become the bottle du jour amongst the entire nation's elite right now, thanks to appearances on Justified, Anthony Bourdain's show, and others. The demand so far exceeds the supply that finding a bottle at retail is no small miracle.

Yeah, I never ever drink higher ends all night long. I always have a backup to go too after about 4 drinks. You're a smart one, CC. Shame you hate mods so much, I may have a drink with you sometime.

So what you're saying is I'm not going to walk into Macadoodle's and get my hands on a bottle? Well, shit.

Maybe they'll water it down to meet demand.

Excellent choices in their own right. Two of my favorite mid tier bottles. I don't know who it was that turned me onto Buffalo Trace, but I should send them a bottle. That is some delicious stuff!

Did any of the watered down MM make it to retail? I'd love to do a blind tasting with that bottle involved.

Not that I know of. I think they floated the idea first, but I'm not sure.

I don't believe so. It's possible, but IIRC they yanked it before it hit shelves. I'd like to try it too just to see if it made THAT much of a difference.

Not a fan of alcohol in general. Cider is OK but it makes
my teeth hurt. You could take all alcohol away from my for life and I wouldn't be even a little bit sad.

If I had to choose one, though, I'd go with Ace
Perry Cider. Genuinely delicious.
