No doubt we have a superbowl defense. The OL has some issues when it comes to blocking. The WR's aren't great...and TE??? Outside of Jamaal Charles, and D. Bowe, this team doesn't have many offensive threats.
Alex Smith is an average at best QB. Unfortunately, he hasn't been at his best. Sure, he hasn't thrown any INT's. But we have got to score more TD's, especially when we are usually operating on what is good field position. If we had a top 10 offense, with our top 5 defense, we'd be unstoppable! Give the OL time to jell, and the offense a few more games with this system and it might start to bare some fruit. |

Shameless self-quote. It seems like Alex has 0 trust in his receivers because of this. How many times have we seen him roll out, throw to Bowe on the sideline, and then have the ball dropped? It seems like after a receiver drops a ball or two he refuses to go to them afterward. As good as Charles has been he's also has had his fair share of mind-numbing drops on easy catches.

Hudson needs to either shit or get off the pot. Asamoah sucks at pass pro. Journeyman Geoff Schwartz, who's been on three different teams in the past three years, looks better than any of them. And Eric Fisher is a joke. Add to that, there's a serious lack of receiving depth and no established slot receiver. This team has a lot of missing pieces, regardless of whether or not Alex Smith is the QB. |

Those are the throws that the defense wants you to make. It becomes really frustrating when it's third and long, and instead of throwing an 8-10 yard pass, he throws a 2-3 yard pass that is instantly covered by the defense. I also don't like how we are utilizing Jamaal Charles. Especially when it comes to running the football. But our OL really isn't living up to expectations. Maybe thats because its a young group and they'll need more time to jell. But they really have to begin to perform better than they have. Giving up sacks on a 3 man rush like they did last week is inexcusable. It happened far too often. It it wasn't a sack, it was a 3 man rush that provided enough pressure to make Smith throw a bad pass or run for a yard or two. We need more out of the offense if we are going to win big games. We won't be playing the Jags and Eagles every week. |

Rothlisberger's 6'6 and 270 pounds. His offensive line can't hold blocks for 10 seconds while he runs around and improvises. He's also benefited from Heath Miller, Hines Ward, Mike Wallace and Santonio Holmes (not to mention the Bus). When those guys have failed to deliver, so has Ben (see the recent 8-8 seasons). |

Negative, Dane.
The Giants had a terrible offensive line and running game when they won the Super Bowl in 2011.

What got the to the playoffs in 2011 was the return of their stud defensive lineman. Their defense was godly in the playoffs, shutting out the Falcons, holding San Fran to 17 and NE to 14. You mistaken. |

So Eli Manning throws for 5,000 yards that year.
But you credit their shitty 25 PPG defense and #32 running game for getting them to the playoffs. Cool story bro.
