Oh I agree it's not black and white. That's why I don't like seeing a stat like that thrown up as proof that Alex is pushing the ball. I completely understand it can work both ways or have a grey area.

Shit, he's hitting 33 percent of those throws, we need to throw more of them.

I never said Alex was "pushing the ball," but the offense is making some big plays. You do need to stretch the D but you don't have to chuck it downfield like Flacco every play either. I don't think Alex is playing GREAT... but he's leading this offense and doing some positive things. I think Reid is letting him get more aggressive from week to week. But really it's been just like his playoff win against Brees... not a lights out HOF performance but every time his back was against the wall he made things happen.

I was never trying to accuse you of that. I think he will eventually get a connection with Bowe. If the Oline gets better and he gets a TE that can go down the seem then I think our passing game will open up a little.

I think this post is spot on.
I also think as the season progresses, we are going to need more Smith and this offense.

What I would like to know is how many of those passes that have traveled 20 or more yards in the air have come in the last 2 games?

7?
