All indications are that this is who Alex Smith is. There's no reason - other than blind faith/hope - to believe Alex Smith can break career trends when asked to throw this often, in this style of offense.

Alex Smith had 45 pass attempts against Dungver and didn't turn it over or implode. If our WRs could catch the dam ball his numbers would have been very similar to Manning's.

That's where we disagree. I believe that if Alex Smith were to go down with something significant, there would be a real chance that you would see Bray sooner than later.
