VARSITY
Do You Drink Vodka?

I don't but I have a couple good friends who do.

My pal Mr. Doggity loves this stuff called "Dizzy Three." It's coffee flavored vodka, with the coffee flavor coming from local bean roaster The Roasterie, and the Vodka made in Olathe by a company called "Clear 10."

Nate Bukaty is always hawking this stuff on the 810 Border Patrol.

http://www.clear10vodka.com/

I bought a couple bottles of "Fox" from Atchison, KS. It's their reserve vodka, and was only about $19/bottle. They also make a vodka called "Most Wanted."

Have you guys tried any of these, and if so, what do you think of them?

We're getting some copper mugs for Christmas from my mother-in-law. We just drink them out of glassware, though.

On a side note, one of our good friends owns a bar that specializes in traditional/craft cocktails, and various mules are probably their best seller. They're having a horrible time with people stealing their mugs. Evidently it's an epidemic, as she posted an article from, I believe an Austin bar, about them having to raise prices on their mules due to theft. They also weren't serving out of copper on the weekend nights due to high traffic.

We were at the Foundry here in KC a couple weekends ago and my wife had to turn over her ID to be served a copper mug, lol.

I tend to add rum to my coffee if I'm going to put booze in it. I have enjoyed the occasional flavored vodka though, and coffee is one of my favorite flavors.

dirty martinis primarily. Weston makes a really good one called 360.
Best vodka I've had was some I bought for a relative called Jean Marc from France. Best martini I've ever had. clean, no bite. dangerous.

otherwise Vodka and Sprite or something of the like.

The coffee vodka sounds intriguing to me
The wife loves the fireball, little too cinnamon heat for me, but mixed it half and half with j. Weed tea vodka, was actually pretty tasty. Named it dragons breath

I'd say a lot of folks who aren't keen on vodka, 'might' be if they tried a super high end one. I think that Jean Marc was like $75 a bottle. worth every penny. My first martini I made dirty; but after that just went with it up and no olive juice. outstanding.

Like those three as well. Crown is my first choice too. I just about finished a bottle of the new xo. On the rocks or straight up, very tasty addition to the royal family to drink straight out of the bottle
