@BuckyBrooks: The potential depth and talent of the 2014 WR class is ridiculous. Teams will be able to find a legit No.1 WR as late as the 2nd round

... but really, a poll from most draftniks would have been unanimously voting this to be the case.

If we're taking a WR, I want it to be Jordan Matthews. The kids has solid speed, excellent hands and is a really good route runner who can separate.
Hell, the guy is related to Jerry ****ing Rice for crying out loud. And he made noise at Vanderbilt.

Sammy Watkins is the best receiver in this class.
Mike Evans, Marquise Lee, K. Benjamin Florida State. Those would be the top four for me. If Lee or Benjamin were on the clock when the Chiefs picked. Wow.

They have one of the most respected offensive minded coaches in the country. This is not our grandpa's Vandy here. Their o is legit.

We had better not wait until the 5th round to take a wide receiver when our wide receivers, Dwayne Blows include, suck donkey dick.

Watkins is electric but also has lapses in concentration and less than pristine hands. I'd rather have Evans and perhaps Lee.
Benjamin doesn't add a new dimension beyond what we already have in Bowe or Hemingway.

If the Chiefs select a WR in the first round, then there is no way in hell that we sign a guy like Macklin as a free agent. If we go WR in round one, which I'm more than cool with, it needs to be a guy good enough to make Bowe our #2 WR. Besides WR, FS is our biggest need. We can use FA dollars to plug holes elsewhere. Need to resign guys like Schwartz and McCluster. I'm up in the air about Jackson.

Whoever we select, they need to have great hands. I could care less about size.

Cody Hoffman Devin Street Jared Abbrederis All have very soft hands that use them away from their body to make the catch. However, after looking at WR's the past couple of weeks, I'm totally stoked on Donte Moncrief of Ole Miss. |

We tried the 2 walking giants with Bowe and Baldwin and that didn't work out too well. I don't see Reid going WR in round 1. He prefers fat men, so maybe Abbrederis in the 3rd but might have to trade up to get him. Last edited by jd1020; 12-30-2013 at 12:59 PM.. |
