-- I'm not melting down.

I'd just like to thank all of you for a fun season.

It's been a pleasure sharing this yrs' improvement of a season with you. I'd like us to take two minutes to offer warm wishes to those who actually lost a family member, lost a job or lost an animal. Any planeteer who is suffering any sort of pain, struggling with health, alcoholism, or any other speed bump or restraint, please just take this time to remember the people in need of a warm thought.

Hug your kids, offer assistance, lend an ear, lend a hand.

This team will be back bitch - this was a huge lesson this time and Andy will handle his business.

Just wanted to express these items - I've wanted to feedback on all of the negativity and or moodiness.

My OP point is - Just remember what is really important in life.

I love you all and Happy New Year.

keep keepin' it real...

I told my buddy that I watched the KU pants shitting with that the Chiefs had used all of my sorrow. After that gay ass fumble TD I let hope go and hardened myself to it. It just so happened to carry over to the KU game.

I'm with ya. It didn't end the way we all wanted, but I had one HELL of a time being a Chiefs fan this year. To be honest, I've loved being a Chiefs fan since I was 5. The ups and downs, highs and lows are part of the beauty of the whole thing. The idea that some day we'll stand alone with the trophy is what keeps us coming back. I often wonder if I'll have the same drive as a fan after we win the Super Bowl...I love this city and I love my teams. I was super disappointed after the Royals didn't make it in last season, but I am beyond Pumped to get back to the K and I'm hopeful that the boys in blue finally turn it around this year.

Being a fan, at least to me, isn't just about seeing your team win a championship...or even be successful, really. It's about the experience. It's about enjoying 3 hours a week with friends and family and like-minded people and forgetting about your everyday stresses. The Chiefs and Royals do that for me...and that's why I come back.

Sure, this loss hurts. I teared up in the stands. But I made memories with my brother and fiancee on that road trip that I'll take with me for the rest of my life...and no amount of losing can ever diminish how important that is.

anymore I just laugh. because it's so comical at this point. the odds are probably worse for them to achieve so little than they are to succeed.....yet we defy odds. That amuses me.

Saturdays are my 'football' days now. The Chiefs are not an after thought yet, but getting there. At least in terms of passion

Injuries completely obliterated any chance the team had in that game. The defense ****ing let us down....but Jesus Christ. Charles goes down and the offense doesn't miss a beat. I considered us lucky at that point. Then Flowers goes down....and we have no one to cover Hilton. Avery goes down and we completely lose the ability to stretch the defense. Then Hemmingway......then Houston. Jesus ****.

At the end of the game I told my wife I might be done with the NFL all-together. It took a few hours of playing with the kids to realize that I can't control what a bunch of dumb-**** athletes and coaches do.

I watched and enjoyed the playoff games yesterday.

I am still baffled from time to time about how they managed to lose, but it fades quickly.

Getting older and more mature helps a lot.
Gotta remember what's important... none of that hit me until I had kids 12 years ago. It's pointless to get bent out of shape about this stuff as if it's life or death.

Yeah, I get on this board and talk noise from time to time, but if DEN were to sh*t the bed on Sunday and lose... in the end, it's just a game that I'm a fan of watching. If they win it all - awesome, if they fall short - oh well.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
