Most of my holes in my watching is pre-Bonnie and Clyde era HWood.
One I keep getting gently reminded from various things and places I need to see sometime is 'The In-Laws' with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin. So many people whose opinion I value just GUSH about that movie.

45 next month.
No reasons why I have not watched as a adult. As a kid, we didn't go to many movies for cost and once dad was home-he was home.

Thanks. Check out Episode IV if you want a quaint experience. Just remember it was made when you were a pup.

It's funny how a lot of the classics never won oscar best picture. And a lot of the best picture winners look kinda stale and overrated now. Does anyone ever name stuff like Ghandi, Chariots of Fire, Ordnary People, Out of Africa, Kramer vs. Kramer in their best lists?

So which of the movies that I haven't seen would you recommend the most?
Snatch, Taxi Driver, City of God, and Das Boot are the ones that are the most intriguing to me. I've intentionally avoided Silence of the Lambs and Aliens due to them being too intense. |

WTF - I've never before seen it listed as that, but that's what it shows up as in IMDB.
The Bicycle Thief is all I've ever know it as. Even better [or more edifying overall] than the movie is Scorsese's documentary on the genre from that era of Italian cinema. My Voyage to Italy

Back in early and mid-70's they would show a previously released Bond movie on TV on a Sunday night a couple of times per year. It was a Major Television Event. You'd plan to watch it all week, and everyone would be talking about it at the next day at school. You literally had no other way to see an older movie back before VCRs and cable became commonplace, other than waiting for them to be shown on TV by one of the 3 networks. |

I just saw Buster Keaton's movie "The General" this weekend. It's a silent movie, but I swear to you, it's still funny and entertaining. I was shocked at how well it aged. It's still a good movie today.

On cdcox's list, I've marked the ones I haven't seen with an X. I think it adds up to 68. I'm not very good at seeing movies.

Got to see that on the big screen with live organ score when they reopened KC's downtown cinema house.
