Richard Sherman might be the biggest douche in the NFL

What a childish douche.

So...it's first and ten. SF is at the SEA 18 yard line. SEA is clinging to a six point lead with less than a minute to play. You know it's got to be intense as all **** on the field. Then that play happens. SEA runs out the clock and they go nuts, they're going to the Super Bowl for only the second time in franchise history. And somebody decides to immediately stick a live mic in Sherman's face. They're lucky he didn't drop several F-bombs on live air. I probably would have exploded in glorious obscene profanity if I had done what Sherman did, especially at that age.

LOL...you should have heard the kid from LSU in the East-West Shrine game. He dropped several profanities and the network didn't have time to bleep them out. It was funny...I bet the broadcasters apologized at least 5 or 6 times.

That's not Richard Sherman's problem.

So why throw Sherman aside? I don't disagree that there are some athletes who abuse women, do drugs, commit felonies, and say some pretty ****ing inappropriate shit.

We're talking about the actions by Richard Sherman here. That's the subject.

I'm saying it's not a big deal at all, and that the "think of the children!" argument here is bogus and just plain ****ing stupid.

Tell me how that's Richard Shermans problem. If Richard Sherman has to change how he acts because of that, then half of the people on tv and the movies need to be changed. Because there are hundreds if not thousands of worse influences on tv than Sherman. His job is to play football, not to be the missing parent for those kids.

How about this, instead of trying to change a 25 year old football player's personality... how about we just don't put a mic in front of them literally minutes from the greatest moment of their lives?

If Richard Sherman had said that he shit in Crabtree's mouth and he wanted the stink to linger so long his children would taste in when he kissed them after graduating from high school I still would have loved it.

Personally, if my children ended up as boisterous, articulate, excelled in high school, got into an elite university, and then plied their craft to become the best in their profession I'd feel nothing but pride as a parent.

Richard Sherman may not be a role model, but he probably should be.

Hell of a straw man you put together there.

From Kaepernick:
Quote:
-Q: Did you put it where you wanted to?

-KAEPERNICK: Could’ve put it a little deeper in the corner and gave only Crab a chance.

That was my thought when I said "underthrown." It wasn't a horrible throw, could have been slightly better though. But I really think they felt like it was either Crabtree or nobody catching that ball, and the linebacker in close pursuit was the surprise.
I don't think you fully understand how hard it is for a team to reach a Super Bowl, let alone win it.

This is what you had to say, "They [49ers] gambled on trying to hit quick instead of let SEA set their defense."

The 49ers had all their timeouts, which left time for a least four, or five more plays.

To the point on Kaepernick, may I suggest that you do a little research on his red zone woes this season before you suggest that your football knowledge is superior to others in this forum?

Concerning Green Bay and San Francisco Wild Card game, perhaps you could swing by a review of the game - Since Kaepernick could barely keep it together in the final five minutes to kick a game winning FG.

Do I think Kaepernick has an upside? He is 27 years old. Only time will tell.

Is Kaepernick clutch? Absolutely not.

Now, you have a good night.

P.S. don't forget to check out Joe Montana's critique of Kaepernick today, published by NFL.com.

Sherman says he was mic'd up for the game so when it comes out on NFL Films we'll hear that all he said to Crabtree was good game..

They didn't have all their timeouts when they ran that final play.

He drove his team to kick the game winning FG at GB. WINNING, not choking. He's a 2nd year starter, competing and winning vs play-off caliber teams.

He doesn't need upside. He's already done more than most. Perhaps you'd rather have someone like Tannehill...I'll take Kaep.
