I gotta say, though, I'm not a big fan. I don't think this is too realistic. Some thoughts: (a.) Maclin is probably going to re-sign with the Eagles. (The other two are realistic pickups.) (b.) Pestilence is probably right that the Chiefs cannot pay Houston this offseason. (c.) I actually think the Hali trade makes sense, but yeah, then you better use that first pick on a passrusher. Multiple picks. If they're going to accumulate that many picks, they should guarantee they land a superior passrusher like Dee Ford. (Mack and Barr will probably go in the Top 10.) (d.) I also think that first-pick.com site is a lot of fun, but it's simply not realistic. If the Chiefs trade down from their 1st pick (which I support), it's probably going to be for the exact same haul we got in 2011, which was a single 3rd. We're also not going to get three 7ths for a 6th. (e.) Murphy and Skov are fine, if you want to go the Full Stanford. But if you're going to lose Hali, trading down is not terribly smart as you're really going to need Dee Ford there. Murphy is really good, but he's not the force of nature that Ford is. Also, I really hate Skov in the 2nd -- he's a fine player, but you already brought back Jordan and I'm not yet convinced that Nico Johnson can't play SILB, too. (f.) Brandon Coleman is a large receiver, and that's it. I really don't like him at all as a prospect. Same goes for AJ McCarron, when the Chiefs are already really high on Bray and Daniel. (g.) I really like Lynch and I love Reid, and if we can land Hal and Barnett in the 7th, that's great too. All in all, however, we need to boost three things this offseason: we need to improve our pass rush, we need more weapons for Alex Smith, and we need to boost our secondary. Taking away the Maclin acquisition, your offseason does only one of those things (the passrush), and that's debateable since replacing Hali with any of the passrushers in this draft save Clowney might be a net-loss. Maybe you improved our secondary as well by bringing Abdullah back, but we need a little more than that. |

Direkshun I know Skov in second is high not sure he is there at our pick in third. I'm a Bama fan and have to be honest I'm not sure bout nico is good steady but not a leader I think we need a leader. Skov is that intense leader this D needs.
I like Trent Murphy I think he's gonna be a lot better than some think. |

I like Murphy a lot as well, but you need to boost the passrush this season.
I like bringing in a 2nd in exchange for Hali (though the odds of scoring that are low), but that means you need to land a passrusher with elite potential. And I just think SILB is the least important position on this defense. It plays about 50% of the snaps, and its responsibilities are limited. Nico deserves a legit chance there, and even if he's not that great, it's not some huge hit that requires a 2nd round pick to repair. |

We don't have the cash to make all those moves in free agency. Unless we're actually going to save a ton by trading Hali. And I'm not so sure we're a better team just by gleaning a 2nd rounder out of it.

No thanks to this. How did you manage to trade for 3 7th rounders? Do one without all of the unrealistic trades, may end up being better.

The more I think about Maclin, the more convinced I am he isn't going to be Chief.
a) he wants to stay in Philly and might give them a sweet deal on his services because of that. b) if he does leave, the Jets are going to overpay for him, Dorseys history strongly suggests that's not something he's going to do. |

The fact that Avery is starting in your scenario is fail.
That position is one of two (FS being the other) that needs immediate upgrading. While we don't really know about Commings, there isn't another body on this roster who is truly capable of being a #1 or #2 receiver outside of Bowe. And if we go the FA route in addressing the receiving situation, I'd rather have Riley Cooper than Jeremy Maclin. Cooper is surehanded, runs good routes and is, unlike Maclin, healthy. You want a Maclin, then you draft Odell Beckham. In fact, if he's sitting there, I can almost guarantee he'll be the pick all things considered. Reid's taken that guy several times (DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin) and likes/wants that type of player in his system. Dorsey also drafted that guy in Randall Cobb. |

I don't see the Chiefs not getting WR Jeremy Maclin and S Nate Allen from Philly. The Eagles have to choose between a guy coming off an ACL tear or a very productive Cooper who had great chemistry with Foles. Easy choice there. Allen is already replaced by Wolff there. Two signings that should be bargains as well.
