His follow up "sequel" to The Shining was an abomination. There's a reason Kubrick took his source material and literally inverted the whole story and then put a giant **** You symbol at the beginning of the film for King to clearly get the message.

Not really scary, but I enjoyed JoyLand, and The Stand is an exquisite masterpiece.

I took an advanced Soc class in HS where we used The Stand as text / topic for the entire courses to learn A to Z about the science. Teacher was a brilliant, awesome, and unique man.

The Stand was really good. Real good TV miniseries that came of it too. Gary Sinise was terrific in it.
